ABOUT THIS CAMP
Take your skating to the next level by training with the Eden Prairie Boys Hockey Skating Coach and a Triple Master Rated skating professional. This camp is designed to systematically build stronger, more efficient skaters through structured weekly development.
Players will progressively improve:
- Power and first-step explosiveness
- Edge control and balance
- Stride efficiency and mechanics
- Transitions and change of direction
- Overall skating IQ and game application
Each session emphasizes proper technique, detail, and understanding how elite skating directly impacts performance, confidence, and decision-making in game situations.
Athletes will develop not only speed and agility, but also the awareness to apply advanced skating concepts under pressure. Select sessions will integrate puck skills and hockey IQ into the skating curriculum. Depending on the focus of the day, sessions may include:
- A full hour of hockey skill development
- A split-ice format with skating instruction on one end and puck/skill work on the other
This integrated model ensures players build both the engine and the skill set necessary to maximize their impact on the ice.
