2027 Power Skating
Skating shows up in every shift
Skating is the one thing that shows up in every shift you take. It’s also the first thing that breaks down when a game speeds up.
Nine weeks of edges, stride mechanics, and the habits that hold when you’re tired and someone is on you.
New for 2027: video is part of every session
Every session opens with twenty minutes of film. Get dressed, come to the video room in gear, watch the detail on screen, then walk out and do it on the ice.
Skating corrections are hard to hear and easy to see. Watching the edge, the knee bend, or the crossover before you’re asked to produce it is the difference between being told and understanding.
Eighty minutes at the rink, start to finish.
It has to transfer
Clean edges in a drill mean nothing if they disappear the moment a puck is on your stick.
Every mechanic you train here gets executed with the puck, in situations pulled from real games — tight turns with pressure closing, transitions into a live read, acceleration with somewhere to go. The goal isn’t a prettier stride. It’s skating that holds up on game night.

Take both Monday and Wednesday, or pick the one that fits your summer. Groups are set by age, and every skater gets the same session either way.
If you’re already committed to another program on one of those days, the single-day option keeps you skating without a conflict. One-day skaters pick their day — Monday or Wednesday — at registration.
Who It’s For
Boys · Bantam through Pro · all positions · any association
Boys, Bantam through Pro, all positions. Groups are set by age and open to every skater regardless of who they play for — forwards and defensemen, any association.
Eighteen skaters per session, so there’s room to work and no waiting through a line.
The Coaches
Carey Tinkelenberg · guest coaches by level
Guest coaches from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division III, USHL, and Tier II programs join through the summer, bringing what they actually look for at their level.
