LETIZIA TO JOIN HHS AS SENIOR ADVISOR
April 29, 2024 – Hawkeye Hockey Services (HHS) proudly announces the addition of Johnstown Tomahawks Head Coach, Mike Letizia, as a Senior Consultant. Letizia brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team, further strengthening HHS’s commitment to player development and success in the world of hockey.
In his new role, Letizia will leverage his extensive background in coaching and player development to assist athletes in reaching their full potential. With a focus on fostering integrity, skill enhancement, and personal growth, Letizia’s addition to the HHS team underscores the organization’s dedication to providing top-tier guidance to aspiring hockey players and their families.
Director of Consulting at Hawkeye Hockey Services, Josh Petrich, expressed his enthusiasm for Letizia’s inclusion, stating, “We are extremely excited to add Mike to our family at HHS. I have known and worked with Mike for a long time and to add a former NAHL Coach of the Year to the family is not only going to benefit his clients but all athletes and families that work with HHS. Mike is a person of integrity and brings a ton of value and experience to our company and the families as they are led to accomplishing their goals.”
Letizia himself shared his excitement about the new role, saying, “I am looking forward to being involved within the game in this new direction and to working alongside the guys at Hawkeye. They have been advancing players to many higher levels, and I hope I can continue to help them build upon all their success. Being a head coach in the NAHL, I was fortunate to work with so many good players, and I feel I have strong relationships, as well as a good understanding of what coaches at the junior, college, and pro levels desire from their players. With the experiences that I have had for the last decade-plus along with the incredible resources that HHS provides, I am hoping to share all of the knowledge with players to help them build their game to new levels and watch their efforts create a rewarding journey advancing in the game of hockey.”
Letizia’s tenure with the Johnstown Tomahawks in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) showcased his ability to develop talent and cultivate winning teams. During his time as the head coach of Johnstown, he had 338 wins, won NAHL Coach of the Year honors, along with being named the East Division Coach of the Year three times, and helped over 100 players secure NCAA div. 1 opportunities. Now, as part of Hawkeye Hockey Services, Letizia will continue to make a significant impact on the next generation of hockey players.
